First time to the Palm

We booked 2 sea view balcony rooms and emailed hotel prior to arrival that we needed to be close with balconies on each room. I travelled with my daughter and granddaughter. On arrival in early hours, the rooms were far apart and one had no balcony, this was a deal breaker as both adults are smokers. eventually moved at 3am, but to the other side of the hotel. Daughter moved closer 2 nights later. Housekeeping do the basics, but a lot of the fixtures are thick dust, I even wrote in dust of the table frame and it was still there when I left also found they still hadn't cleaned at 5pm, which was very frustrating when trying to have childrens naps. That said the hotel is nice, most of the staff friendly and helpful. I would class this as a 4 star not 5. Having been to Dubai many times I found it lacking in the little extras, turn down service, room cleanliness. Coffee/cake shop, coffee was awful, cakes nice. Shop in the hotel stocks next to nothing and nearest small supermarket is about 20 minutes walk. It was our first time on the palm and felt quite isolated as nothing outside the hotel. I prefer Jumeriah as there is more outside the hotel They offer free entry to Atlantis, which was good and a good saving. Buffet food was good but very repetitive, other restaurants were ok. Needs some tweaks and upgrades to get it to a 5 star, but that said it is not somewhere I would return too.

Just returned from an amazing 2 week stay at Rixos the Palm. Nothing was too much trouble for any of staff from the concierge service/security guys, reception, guest relations, excursion desk, housekeeping, bar staff, waiters, the list is to long to mention all! Would like to give a shout out though to Masoud who works by the pool sorting sun loungers and towels, he looked after us the whole 2 weeks we were there. He was a star. Cool boxes by the Sunbeds is such a brilliant idea and means you don’t have to keep asking for water. Buckets of beer come with ice so you can use that to top your cool box up once you have finished your beer. Waiter service by the pool is great and staff so attentive. The hotel has everything you would need for a stay, our room was lovely with an amazing view over the pool area out to the water and the Dubai skyline. Clean linen and towels daily if you asked for them or you can help cut down on cleaning by placing a little card on the bed saying you didn’t need fresh linen that day. Mini bar restocked daily with anything that we had used and enough water on offer to sink a ship. Used the prebookable restaurants, again no issues with getting the day or times we wanted. I would recommend trying these restaurants as the food was of a high standard- steak house was our favourite, steaks were cooked to perfection and very tender. Drinks were all top brands with a choice of which wine variety you preferred. Location was a taxi ride away from downtown Dubai but plenty of taxis on offer or you can book the hotel car via the concierge desk - we did this for one of our trips out. Excursions on offer from the hotel were of a high standard and priced competitively, booking them was a breeze. Would recommend you talk to the lady on the desk (sorry don’t know her name) but she can arrange anything. Check in/out was simple and efficient. Just want to say thanks to all the staff who made our stay memorable, hopefully we will be back. You have a fantastic hotel and fantastic staff.

This hotel is amazing…From bell boys, pool boys, bar staff, waiters, housekeeping, management and reception all the staff are just so helpful, friendly and always checking if you need anything, even if it’s just going out their way to say hello. The ultra all inclusive is amazing too…loads of top branded beer, spirits and wines…and not paying is a huge bonus…the a la carte restaurants are lovely as well as the buffet. The room was large and clean with a beautiful view of the sky scrapers across from the palm. Loved it, thank you to everyone there!!

Exclusive sports club - Brilliant

The team in the exclusive sports club are brilliant. I joined the classes which were great fun and excellent . Kagan and Cheikh in particular stand out for their dedication and customer service . This is the second year I have come here and will definitely be back again .

Great hotel, great location and the best quality food I’ve ever had when staying in a 5 star hotel The personal service given by the managers, the staff and especially the chef in the Buffett restaurant could not do enough to help with a young 5 year old who has allergies All in all a dream holiday
